She is a Maternal Goddess, she looks well after her children, such as a time in the original mythos when a giant was destroying a village.. she came and cut down the giant and drank his blood to stop more appearing, however she did become drunk on the blood and went into a destructive frenzy but Shiva threw himself down at her feet, she got out of the frenzy because she thought she had killed him.

I know this much...my father was sick the doctors all over the country did not know what was wrong, he was in horrible pain and suffered, even though this is a rich country with all the best medical facilities in the world they couldn't cure my father. I prayed hard to Ma Kali and within days he miraculously recovered and to this day doctors cannot expalin what happened. Ma Kali was good to me and my family and I will forever be greatful!!
